About The Similan Islands
The Similan Islands are located just off the coast of Khao Lak or around 100 kilometres north west of Phuket and provide the best diving in Thailand. The area itself is a protected national park now but camping is permitted on the islands. There are nine granite islands covered in thick tropical jungle, frindged by white beaches and surrounded with by waters. Below the surface lies a diverse landscape of deep canyons, giant boulders, coral gardens, caves and walls. |

Almost all diving to the Similans is done off liveaboards that run out of Phuket or day trips from Khao Lak. There are world class dive sites all around the islands and all of them have something different and exciting to offer.
