Koh Sawang
Koh Sawang is a rocky outcrop island at the most westerly point of the marine park. It has starting depths of 4 to 5m and slopes down slowly to around 28 to 30m. Hard coral gardens mixed with varieties of anemone, molluscs and big colourful feather stars surround the island. At it's depths large granite boulders form peaks to create pinnacles densly covered with large white soft tree corals. Depths here reach 30m, large yellow margin trigger fish patrol the sandy slopes that head west to depths of over 70m.
Koh Lipe Dive Sites Hin Luk Bat

It is not unusual to see some large palegicshere plus schools of devil rays, large barracuda, huge jellyfish and even the odd manta and whale shark. A large variety of reef fish can also be seen amongst the coral gardens including stone, scorpion. Large moray eels and puffers are also common.

Koh Adang
Currents can be strong in areas of the marine park and the best thing to do is utilise them, giving this divesite the nick name "super highway drift". The re is a drop off at the nortern tip of Koh Adang, making a descent over a rocky slope to around 18m. There is no currenthere and as you swim around the coast where the 2 km deep channel between Koh Adang and Koh Rawi sits the current starts to pick up. The dive follows the coast of Adang, and upto 3km of drifting has been covered in one hour.

Large schools of stingray have been seen feeding in the channel. Many types of reef fish can be seen, from red tooth and clown triggerfish to big eyed trevally.

Hin Chabang

Hin Chabang is one of the prettiest dive sites in Thailand. A set of underwater granite pinnacles set out in a rough triangle shape. Its an open water dive site with depths of 16m. The sandy bottom and soft whip coral gardens are the home of seahorses, nudibranches and lots of other strange species. On these pinnacles you can find big colourful scorpion fish, lots of lionfish and somtimes a turtle or two.

Koh Lipe Dive Sites Koh Rang Pinnacle

One of the nicest things about this dive site is the amount and condition of the soft tree corals, the dive is finished in the coral gardens from 8m deep to the end of the pinnacles at 3m below the suface. You will be suprised by the density of soft coral growthand you cannot see the rock formation because the coral is fighting for space. An amazing photograph oportunity.

Pattaya Beach
Also known as Sunrise Beach, you can dive straight from the beach onto this attractive shallow reef. With depths of upto 12m and little current ever found this is an ideal site for photo enthusiasts and those looking for a nice relaxing dive. Huge coral bommies, elephant ear and staghorn corals create a reef that starts just offshore and ends at 100m out. By day hundreds of clownfish can be seen playing in anemones, batfish, truIt also makes an exciting night dive with common sightings of free swimming giant moray eels, cuttlefish and bluespotted stingray.

Koh Lipe Dive Sites Koh Kra

8 Mile Rock

One of the last world class pinnacles left in the Anaman sea. 8 mile rock is a submerged pinnacle roughly 8 miles due south of Koh Lipe. Noted for the large palegics that cruise past, devil, manta and eagle rays are common, along with leopard shark, giant barracuda and groupers. Sighting for whale sharks have actually been up over the whole of the lipe group of islands, with most sightings coming at 8 mile rock.

Koh Lipe Dive Sites Koh mai Si Lek
Densly coverd in purple, blue and red soft tree coral, all common reef species can be found here in great abundance and size. Visibility can be upto 45m verticaly and over 30m horizontally. Caution must be applied when diving 8 mile rock due to very strong currents that can lead to your dive being canceled. The site can be dived comfortably dependent on current patterns so consult the local dive opperaters fot the best information. Also getting to the site can be uncomfortable in a local longtail boats. One or two companies are now using boats designed for scuba diving making the 1 hour journey quite enjoyable.
